43 companies

What is registered is a company, not the brand name on the screen

A licence is issued to a company, not to a brand name. Across a record of 100 operators, the company on the licence could be read for 52 — and counting those through leaves only 43 companies. One of them covers five brands. Change the name and the company behind it can be the same one.

52 names, 43 companies

Of the 100 in the record, the company holding the licence could be read for 52.

Count those 52 through and there are only 43 companies.

The gap of nine is companies running more than one brand. Two sites a reader is comparing as separate businesses can be one company on the register.

For the other 48, no company name is in the record. That does not mean they have no company; it means the name could not be read.

One company running five brands

The widest in the record is Novatrix SRL.

Five brands — Oshi Casino, PlayAmo, Slotum, Winz.io and Bitkingz — sit on that one company's Anjouan number, ALSI-202508056-FI2.

Five more companies hold two each. Moon Technologies B.V. has Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io; Scores55 Tech B.V. has KatsuBet and Mirax; Casbit Group N.V. has JustBit and Boomerang.bet; Sorta Group Limitada has Fairspin and Weiss; Igloo Ventures SRL has Instant Casino and CoinCasino.

Counted from the number side, nine numbers cover 24 brands between them.

One company does not mean one set of terms

This is the part that costs a reader most.

Across Novatrix SRL's five brands, the treatment of Japan splits.

Oshi Casino, PlayAmo and Slotum name Japan on their barred-country lists. Winz.io keeps a list of 92 countries and Japan is not on it. Bitkingz keeps a long list of 218 and Japan is not on that either.

One company, one number, five sets of terms, two different answers about Japan.

The number speaks about the company; the list speaks about that brand's terms. The two do not contradict each other. But from a reader's side it means checking the number tells you nothing about what is on the list. The names are on the barred-countries page, and how to read a number is on the licence page.

The identity-check wording moves with the company too

When the company is the same, the wording can be the same as well.

Of the five operators that print an identity-check figure, three match on both the amount and the clause number.

Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io are two brands of Moon Technologies B.V., and both put €2,500 at clause 6.6. Sportsbet.io carries a different number but the same wording at the same clause. Three rows in a table; one piece of text in the documents.

Which means a reader gathering the figure from several comparison sites may be reading one document three times. The figures are set side by side on the identity-check page.

Ten operators. Every cell is taken from a licence register or from the operator's own terms. A blank means we could not read it — never “zero”, never “no limit”. There is no column for a Japanese licence, because Japan has no licensing regime for online casinos to issue one.

Vave is this site's commercial partner, and the link on that row is paid placement: if a reader opens an account, this site is paid. The order of the table is not set by that payment. Vave is excluded from every count and every ranking on this page. We have not read its list of barred countries, so that cell stays “list unread”.

Sometimes the name is only digits

Line up the registered names of the ten in the table and the range of forms is visible.

Latcas B.V., Danneskjold Ventures B.V., Zentari Limitada, Pixel Entertainment Limited, 3–102–959384 SRL, RBGAMING N.V., Natural Nine B.V., Stack Gaming Ltd., Cipher Games Ltd, Oyine N.V.

The fifth has no trading word in it at all.

Metaspins is registered as 3–102–959384 SRL, the registration number standing in as the name. That is neither unlawful nor unusual; it is an ordinary form in that register. But from a reader's side it removes one handle for searching out the company's history.

All ten names could be read. Across the full 100, only about half could — so these ten sit on the thicker side of the record.

The year of opening is rarely recorded

The next question after the company is usually how long they have been running.

Of the 100, the year of opening is in the record for 11.

Among the ten in the table, three: Bitsler from 2015, Rocketpot from 2018, Wild.io from 2022. For the other seven there is no year. So this site does not make an operator's age a column — the record cannot fill one.

And reading the year inside a licence number as the year of opening is a mistake. The year in a Curaçao number is the year of registration, and for both Bitsler and Wild.io the number's year is the later one.

Matching a company name yourself

There is one check a reader can run. Compare the company name at the foot of the operator's site against the name on the issuer's register entry.

If they do not match, that needs an explanation.

Curaçao numbers are at cert.cga.cw and Anjouan numbers in the public register at anjouangaming.com, both without an account. Of the ten in the table, eight numbers reach a register; the links at Rocketpot and Wolf.bet point at the operators' own sites.

Some entries carry a status of revoked — five of the 100, three of them on one number. Those are handled on the revocation page. The whole procedure is on the check-it-yourself page.

Questions

For how many operators can the company be read?
For 52 of the 100. Counted through, those 52 amount to only 43 companies. The gap of nine is companies running more than one brand.
What is the most brands one company runs?
The widest in the record is Novatrix SRL, covering Oshi Casino, PlayAmo, Slotum, Winz.io and Bitkingz. Next come Moon Technologies B.V., Scores55 Tech B.V., Casbit Group N.V., Sorta Group Limitada and Igloo Ventures SRL with two each.
Does one company mean one set of terms?
Not necessarily. Of Novatrix SRL's five brands, three name Japan as barred and two do not. The number is written about the company; the terms are written about the brand. The breakdown is on the barred-countries page.
Can a company name be nothing but digits?
Yes. Among the ten in the table, Metaspins is registered as 3-102-959384 SRL, with no trading word at all — the registration number stands in as the name.
If a registration is refused, should I try another brand?
That brand may be the same company under another name. If the number and the company match, the registration behind it is the same one. This site does not advise on what to try; it records that a different name does not mean a different company.
Can I check a company name myself?
Pull it from the issuer's register: Curaçao numbers at cert.cga.cw, Anjouan numbers in the public register at anjouangaming.com. Compare the company named on the entry against the company the operator's own site claims. The procedure is on the check-it-yourself page.
