How to read a crypto casino licence number and the domains it covers

What a crypto casino licence number looks like

Curaçao: the OGL format

A certificate from the Curaçao Gaming Authority starts with the letters OGL, then a year and two groups of digits. Three real examples from the operators we compare:

• OGL/2023/111/0069 — held by Moon Technologies B.V., the company behind Bitcasino.io, issued 1 July 2024.
• OGL/2024/1337/0628 — Natural Nine B.V., which runs Shuffle.com, issued 16 October 2024.
• OGL/2024/1676/0905 — Latcas B.V., the company behind Vave, active since 19 May 2025.

The year in the number and the issue date do not always match. Bitcasino.io carries a 2023 number with a July 2024 issue date, so treat the date on the certificate page as the one that counts.

Anjouan: the ALSI format

Anjouan numbers begin with ALSI, then a long run of digits, and end in a code like FI2 or FI3. Wild Fortune shows ALSI-202509073-FI2, held by Metlait SRL. Wolfbet shows ALSI-132405048-FI3 twice: in the footer and in cl. 1 ¶1. The Anjouan public register on anjouangaming.com shows the company, the status, the number, the issue and expiry dates, and the domains attached to each entry.

What a crypto casino licence covers

A certificate is issued to a company, and it lists domains. That second part matters more than most readers expect. The brand name on the screen is not what gets licensed; the address in your browser bar is.

Three cases show how this works in practice:

1. One company, one listed domain. On 12 September 2026 the Curaçao portal cert.cga.cw showed a single domain under Vave's number: vavegame.com. The address vave.com was not on that certificate.
2. One brand, two certificates. Jack.com, known as Jackbit until it was renamed on 29 May 2026, has certificate OGL/2024/1562/1139 for jack.com, issued to Data Link Digital B.V. on 23 July 2025. Its earlier domain, jackbit.com, sits under a certificate of its own.
3. One company, many domains. Metlait SRL's Anjouan entry covered 29 domains when it was read on 2 September 2026, and wildfortune.io was among them.

The practical habit that follows: compare the domain you are about to deposit on with the domains on the certificate. If they differ, the licence line in the footer describes some other address. Our guide on who stands behind a brand walks through the company side of the same record.

What the certificate does not tell you

A certificate page answers a narrow question. It confirms that an authority issued a permission to a named company for listed domains, with a status and a date. It says nothing about several things readers often assume it covers:

• whether a welcome bonus is fair, or which games count toward its wagering (see bonus exclusions);
• how long a payout takes, or how the cashier handles a large request;
• whether the terms set weekly or monthly caps, which you find in the clauses themselves, for example Thunderpick's €100,000 per week in cl. 6.12;
• when the identity check starts, which is also a clause question, covered in our page on identity checks.

In short, the licence tells you who answers to whom. The terms tell you how your money moves.

Dates, expiry and odd wordings

Expiry dates

Anjouan entries print an expiry date. Wild Fortune's licence was issued on 30 September 2025 and expires on 29 September 2026. If you read this later, open the register again and look at the new dates, if any.

Anjouan entries can also still read «valid» after the printed expiry has passed. When status and date disagree, record both and do not settle the question in your head.

Terms that still say «application»

In Bitsler's terms, the number is still worded as a pending application. The Curaçao certificate, however, shows OGL/2024/930/0387 issued to Oyine N.V. on 22 July 2024, and bitsler.com was listed on 12 September 2026. Terms are edited less often than certificates, so a stale sentence is common. The certificate page is the record to trust.

When the terms and the register disagree

A few other patterns from the board, each worth knowing because you will meet them elsewhere:

• Rocketpot prints 1668/JAZ in cl. 1.2. On lookups of 12 and 13 September 2026 the Curaçao portal showed that certificate as not valid.
• Metaspins prints the Anjouan number ALSI-202606048-FI2 in cl. 1.1, while the Curaçao record lists Metaspins N.V. under OGL/2024/1063/0437, status active, for metaspins.com. Two authorities, two records, no reconciliation on either side.
• Thunderpick's terms say nothing about who licenses it or under what number, though OGL/2024/677/0722 shows up against its domain when you search the Curaçao portal directly.
• Rainbet prints no licence number in its footer seal; cl. 21.6 names Gaming Services Provider N.V. as the authority.

A five-minute routine

1. Take the company name and the number from the terms page itself, not just the footer badge.
2. On cert.cga.cw, search by domain or by company name; the portal does not search by licence number.
3. Open the Certificate of Operation page and note the company, number, issue date and status.
4. Check that the domain you use is on the certificate.
5. Write down the date you looked, and repeat before a large deposit.
