The seven that bar Japan — and the one whose list holds a single country

Of the 100 in the record, the barred-country list could be read for 38.

About the other 62, nothing can be said.

This is a place to be careful. Write “accepts Japan” about an operator whose list we never read and we have drawn a conclusion about a document we did not open. Write “does not accept Japan” and it is the same kind of invention. So the cell says “list unread”, and stops there.

Of the 38 we did read, seven name Japan.

The seven names, and the length of each list

Here are the seven in order of list length. The figure is how many countries and territories the list carries.

The seven split into two groups.

The five running from 216 to 224 are lists of nearly the whole world. At that length, the operator has not singled Japan out; it has opened a handful of markets and closed everything else in one move. Japan is inside “everything else”.

Wild Fortune's 47 is a length somebody chose. Picking 47 out of two hundred-odd requires a decision per country. Japan's presence there means something different from its presence on a list of everything.

The list with one country on it

And then there is the one that stands out across the entire record of 100.

Bitcasino.io's list carries one country, and that country is Japan.

In the record we read straight from the operator's own page on 26 August 2026, no other country appears. Nowhere else among the 100 is there a list naming a single country. Other operators keep short lists, but this is the only record where the one entry is Japan.

The long list looks stricter. It is the other way round. Japan appearing on a list of two hundred-odd countries is a by-product of the operator closing most of the world. Japan appearing on a list of one means that one was chosen and written down.

One number, two answers

The list sits in a brand's terms; the licence number is issued to a company. The two units do not line up, so the answers come apart.

Anjouan number ALSI-202508056-FI2 belongs to Novatrix SRL and covers five brands: Oshi Casino, PlayAmo, Slotum, Winz.io and Bitkingz.

The first three name Japan.

Winz.io's list runs to 92 countries and Japan is not on it. Bitkingz's list runs to 218 — long — and Japan is not on that either. One number, five sets of terms, two different answers about Japan.

The same shape appears elsewhere. On Curaçao number OGL/2024/1307/0748, 7Bit Casino and Mirax name Japan while KatsuBet, running on the same number, has a list we could not read. On number OGL/2023/111/0069, Bitcasino.io names Japan alone and Livecasino.io, same company, has an unread list.

The conclusion here is that you cannot infer the contents of a list from the number. What a number does answer is on the licence page.

How the ten in the table stand

This list is one of the conditions for an operator appearing in the table at all: where an operator names Japan on its own list, it is not listed here.

So none of the seven is in the table.

For nine of the ten we read the list, and Japan is not on it. The lengths: Rainbet 11, Empire.io 12, Shuffle 15, DuckDice 16, Rocketpot 34, Wild.io 45, Wolf.bet 48, Metaspins 58, and Bitsler 1. Bitsler's single country is not Japan.

The tenth, Vave, has a list we could not read, so the cell stays “list unread”. It is this site's commercial partner, and that does not turn something unread into something read.

What happens when the name is on the list

This site holds no account with any operator. So we cannot write what actually happens at an operator whose list carries Japan.

What can be written is the fact that the operator has set it out that way in its own terms.

How a registration contrary to those terms is treated is written in another clause of the same document — usually provisions about suspending an account or holding a payout. Our record does not extend to the contents of those clauses.

One thing can be said: this difference does not usually show up at the entrance. Registration goes through, play works, and the stop comes at the withdrawal. What is written on the payout side is collected on the payout-ceiling page and the identity-check page.

Search both ways of writing it

Operators write these lists differently. Some spell out country names; some use two-letter codes.

So search for “Japan” and for “JP”.

Search a code-only list for the word and nothing comes back. Read that absence as “not listed” and the judgment goes wrong at that step. The miss is not the operator being dishonest; it is a search problem on the reader's side.

One more thing. Opening an operator's page can produce a refusal screen. That is not a substitute for the operator's list.
