Bonus exclusions: games, deposits and winnings the terms treat differently

Bonus exclusions are the lines in the terms that say what a promotion does not cover. They rarely appear on the banner. A welcome offer might show a percentage and a coin amount, while the rules about which games count, what happens to winnings and what must be wagered before a withdrawal sit several clauses deeper.

There are four kinds worth knowing: games that are grouped or left out, turnover on the deposit itself, ceilings on winnings, and items carved out of a cap. Each has a clause you can find in a few minutes.

1. Games that count differently

Wagering requirements are rarely the same for every game. Terms can place short-round games into a separate group with their own treatment. Metaspins is a clear example: cl. 14.13.1, as read on 2 September 2026, puts crash and limbo games into one group for bonus wagering. What to look for in any set of terms:

• a list or group of games named in the bonus section;
• the words «contribute», «count toward» or «weighting»;
• separate lines for live casino and sports.

2. Turnover on the deposit itself

This one catches people who never took a bonus. Some terms ask you to play through your own deposit before a withdrawal, whatever promotion is active. The clauses below come from terms captured between 25 August and 2 September 2026:

• Vave, cl. 8.11 (captured 25 August 2026): the deposit must be wagered three times in casino or live casino, or once in sports, before a withdrawal.
• Wild Fortune, cl. 9.7: the deposit is wagered three times.
• Rocketpot, cl. 11.2: three times the deposit before a withdrawal.
• Bitcasino.io, cl. 6.4: the right to ask for one full turnover is reserved.
• Bitsler cl. 8.13, Metaspins cl. 4.2 and Rainbet cl. 8.7: one turnover of the deposit.
• Shuffle.com, cl. 10.2: one turnover, dropped when coins go out to the very wallet, on the very network, that funded the account.

3. Ceilings on winnings

Some offers limit what bonus play can turn into. Under Wild Fortune's cl. 11.15, anything won from the opening three deposits stops at C$7,500. Its bonus page, read on 2 September 2026, showed 225% up to C$7,500 plus 250 free spins spread over five deposits, with amounts shown in Canadian dollars. Read the ceiling clause alongside the headline, since the two numbers together tell you what the offer can produce.

4. Items carved out of a cap

Exclusions can also work in your favour. Wild Fortune's cl. 11.8 sets withdrawals at €1,000 per day, €5,000 per seven days and €15,000 per month, and progressive jackpots are excluded from those limits. The headline versus the bonus exclusions

A promotions page and the terms are different documents, and they can be edited on different days. Vave is a useful case. On 24 August 2026 its promotions page listed a first-deposit match of 150%, capped at 1.5 BTC, with 100 free spins; the next three deposits were matched at 100%, 50% and 25% in turn. That page printed no wagering factor. The deposit turnover in cl. 8.11 comes from the terms, captured a day later.

Where a wagering factor is printed, it is usually attached to the bonus money and a time window:

• Bitcasino.io — a three-deposit package up to 5,000 USDT in total, 30× on bonus money within seven days, minimum deposit 50 USDT (promotions page, 2 September 2026).
• Rainbet — a choice between two welcome routes made ahead of the opening deposit, 100% up to $700 per tier, 20 free spins and 40× (homepage and terms section 9, 2 September 2026).
• Rocketpot — its bonus terms, edited 10 August 2022 and read on 2 September 2026, carry a 100× wagering multiple.

Read those as rules of play, not as value. A larger percentage paired with a higher multiple and a short window can be harder to complete than a smaller offer.

A simple way to compare two offers is to write each as three numbers: the bonus amount, the multiple and the days allowed. Then add the clause numbers for game groups and ceilings. Two offers with the same headline can look very different once their exclusions sit next to them, and the comparison takes minutes rather than an evening of guesswork.

A checklist before accepting an offer

1. Open the terms, not only the banner. Find the bonus section and the withdrawal section.
2. Find the game groups. Note any clause that treats crash, limbo, live casino or sports separately.
3. Find the deposit turnover. One time, three times, or none, and the clause number.
4. Find the ceilings. A cap on bonus winnings, and any exception such as jackpots.
5. Note the dates. Write down when you read the promotions page and the terms, since they change on their own schedules.
6. Decide whether to decline. If the cashier lets you skip the offer, remember that deposit turnover rules like Vave's cl. 8.11 still apply either way.

Frequently asked questions

Do bonus exclusions apply if I never take a bonus?

Some of them do. Game groups and winnings ceilings usually attach to the promotion, but deposit turnover is often a general withdrawal rule. Vave's cl. 8.11 wants each deposit turned over in full, three rounds of it in casino or one in sports, ahead of any cash-out request, and Rocketpot's cl. 11.2 asks for three times too. Why are crash and limbo games often treated differently?
