Revocation does not erase the number. What ends is the registration's effect

Five revocations

Of the 100 in the record, five have a registered status of revoked.

BC.Game, Bets.io, Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino.

Three of them publish the same number, OGL/2023/103/0067: Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino. One registration covered three sites, and that registration lost effect.

What gets registered is a company, not a brand name. So one decision takes effect on three screens at once. How companies and numbers overlap is counted on the operating-company page.

The number stays

After revocation the number is still at the foot of the site.

Because a number is a printed string.

The issuer's register and the display on an operator's site exist separately. A change of status on the register side does not change the string on the site side. It stays there until the operator rewrites it.

So what a reader should look at is not the number written on the site but the result of pulling that number from the register. Whether a number exists and whether it is still in force are two different questions.

When the two accounts disagree

A number printed on a site is what the operator says about itself. An entry in the register is what the body that issued the number says.

When they disagree, the second governs.

This is not about suspecting the operator. Sometimes the string was simply never updated. But what a reader can check is one statement or the other, not the circumstances behind them. So the judgment goes on the statements.

The 38 with no recorded status

The opposite of revoked is not an entry reading valid. It is nothing written at all.

For 38 of the 100, there is no registered status in the record.

Active for 32, valid for 25, revoked for 5, and no status for 38. Read those 38 as “valid” and you have turned something unverified into something verified. Read them as “revoked” and it is the same kind of invention.

Among the ten in the table: Active for five, valid for three, and no status for two. Those two are Rocketpot and Wolf.bet, and they are also the two whose licence links point at their own sites. The two gaps are not unrelated: nothing reaches the register, so no status can be read.

Revocation does not change how a site looks

An operator's site does not turn shabby on the day of a revocation.

Appearance is not a document.

The number of games, the number of studios listed, the polish of the interface — none of it moves with a decision on a register. An operator with a revoked entry can list more studios than an operator with a valid one. A large count guarantees nothing about that operator.

What goes into this site's table is only what can be taken from documents. Games are not a column here, partly because the record does not carry them consistently, and partly because even where it did, it would be a separate subject from the register. Why these five are not in the table

This site does not list operators whose registered status is revoked.

So none of the five appears.

The reason is simple. Whether a number is in force is one of the few things a reader can check unaided. List an operator carrying a negative entry on exactly that item and the table stops doing its job.

For the same reason, operators naming Japan on their barred-country list are not listed either — seven of them, set out on the barred-countries page. The two conditions apply separately, and meeting either one keeps an operator out.

The order to check things in

The checks around a number take three steps.

Copy the number from the foot of the operator's site. Pull that number from the issuer's register. Compare the company name and status on the entry against the company the operator says it is.

All three are free and take minutes.

If the status that comes back is revoked, that settles it. If nothing comes back at all, the result is that it cannot be settled — and not being able to settle it is different from there being no problem.
